I'm curious as to what company offers a aftermarket bumper with a hitch incorporated ? I'm wanting to purchase a rear bumper but I would like to be able to as well .

AllPro has a high clearance hitch that can be used with their bumpers. Sits behind the license plate. I'm sure there are others also.

I have done a ton of looking at bumpers over the last month. Finding a new bumper with a hitch integrated into it is not difficult. What I did find difficult was finding a company that could put a load limit on their hitch. i understand the reasons for not putting load test on the hitch and from looking at the quality of the bumpers I have seen, I know they are stronger than what is on there now. One company that does list it is 4xinnovations. If you are looking for a plate bumper and still use the factory hitch take a look at the Warrior.

Fab fours has a bumper that uses the original hitch. Bumper looks pretty good. Mobtown has rear bumper with hitch that ties everything together, it looks like it would survive the Apocalypse.

Im a big fan of this one... haha

Hitch is integrated into bumper, hidden behind flip up license plate. Bumper uses factory mounting points and lights.

Hitch is made from 2-1/2" sq heavy wall tubing and all points are encapsulated in steel so you're not relying on weld alone.

It's not load rated, nor are most mainly because the cost involved to do so but we've trailered off of it many times without any issues.

I really like the looks of the Pelfreybilt/Allpro/Etc. Do these rear bumpers w/ integrated hitch still allow the spare tire to be stored in the factory location? I have not seen too many photos from under the truck that shows how the hitch is integrated into the bumper behind the license plate.

I understand everyone's concern on being able to tow from the bumper or maintain the stock hitch but the real reason to go to an aftermarket bumper is to gain departure angle and provide more protection to the rear.

The stock hitch hangs way below the factory bumper and the factory bumper hangs lower than most aftermarket bumpers.

We were able to get an additional 7" in ground clearance on the back from stock bumper and hitch to our bumper with the hitch built inside.

    EDIT: Dimension

I'm a fan of your work also. For me it pretty much comes down to which coast for shipping.

Not exactly. I bought my aftermarket bumper for more on-the-road protection. Stock one is marginally stronger than foil.

Iron cross also leaves the factory hitch.

13 inches sounded like a lot, so I just measured from the bottom of my receiver to the bottom of the tailgate. It's 13 1/2 inches. Your bumper looks like it's a bit more than 1/2 inch tall.

Hmm. Sounds like I'm thinking of something else haha. You're right, that is not correct. Not in front of my computer but I think the correct dimension is 7" gained.

13" keeps ringing a bell and it has to do with the rear bumper but for the life of me I can recall what it was for now. Been a long time since we mocked them up.

thats usually the biggest decision for most. Shipping bumpers and sliders is not cheap at all.
