I'm looking for suggestions for a rear replacement bumper on my Taco. That butt ugly chrome bumper that Toyota put on my 2017 MGM Off Road just doesn't get it for me, nor does the very limited protection this POS offers.

What I'm looking for is just a Plain Jane (no chrome) all steel bumper that is compatible with my OEM towing package. A direct bolt on replacement that doesn't require welding or cutting of sheet metal to install that I can have powder coated to match my paint.

What I'm not looking for is something that looks like it belongs on a Sherman tank.

I'd be happy with a simple all steel step bumper if I could find one. Any ideas or suggestions that fall within the above guilines?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Toyota really dropped the ball with this bumper and their crappy plastic oil filter setup on the 3rd Gens.

If you haven’t done this already, it’s a nice upgrade for the filter housing along with a metal valve and hose to direct it into a bottle. Expensive for a drain hose.

Or you can just connect some clear vinyl tubing to the plastic fitting supplied with the new filter cartridge, which is what I use.

This type of filter wrench works a bit better than the thin metal filter cap tools, which I previously purchased.

Thanks Mike, most of those I liked seemed to be for the Tundra but I'll check these sources again. It'll be a while before I get one. Need to save up some $$. Hopefully by summer I'll have found something that suits me.
    Thanks again.

I like it! Price scares me a little but it's more in line with my tastes than some of the others. And while some of the beefier bumpers are nice most would look out of place if I didn't replace the front bumper too!
Thanks Bud. This one is my first choice so far.
Owning a Tacoma is like owning a damn house. Seems like there's always one more thing that you want or need to do to it.

Yeah the price scared me a bit too. I definitely didn’t ask my gf if I could buy it because I already knew the answer. I’d rather ask for forgiveness than permission.

At least they are offering free shipping, my dumbass paid $100 for freight shipping.

Having it now for a few months I feel it was worth it. I’m just waiting to someone to run in the back of me.
