I bought a walker rear cat. Correct part number. I called them to confirm & of course, brought up an issue the tech had not run into before, which is….
The hanger on my original has brackets welded onto it. The new one does not. Has anyone else run into this or is this an “only Kristi” thing?

The other bracket came loose. That’s why there’s wire there. Served as my temp.

Also the new one’s holes are significantly smaller than the original.

From factory, it will not be welded on. The hanger (1 piece for both side) is bolted on.

It's bolted to the 2 hole you see there.

No big deal universal Hangers and Exhaust Clamps unless you want to wait for parts.

Walker Exhaust used to have those parts I have not looked for a few years!!

I replied on your front Differential thread as well

& the plot thickens because my original rear cat was flipped, bracket side down. I reversed the new one without comparing to the original. Didn't think to - 1. because this is the way the toyota diagram has it & 2. because of the the pics posted on here. Now the rear flange is hitting the heat shield. It seems to be the correct shape (bends). The two cats I just removed were the originals, so something musta happened in the frame swap....
