After driving, and only after driving, I hear a creak from the rear as I step out of the truck. If I stand and rock the rear body a little side to side, I hear the creak from both rear wheel areas. No creaking if I hop on the rear bumper, only by rocking.

No change after replacing my rear leaf springs, shocks, along with all hardware and bushings, all torqued to spec.

Can anything else in the wheel or drum areas creak this way? I see on a diagram there's several little springs in the drums. The rear drums, shoes, and cylinders were replaced 50,000 miles ago.

So I noticed something similar in my truck, that then progressed to clunking when I'd turn into an incline or decline (think steep driveway). Ultimately I first changed leaf spring bushings and Ubolts, then torqued and re-torqued everything in the rear, sprayed white lithium grease everywhere, all to no avail. Finally replaced the rear wheel bearings, kinda out of desperation to find a solution, and low and behold that fixed my clunking symptoms, and the rear end has been quiet for about 8 months and counting now.
