Got a bad drip coming out of the front side of my rear diff. Going to take it to the shop tomorrow am but wanted anyone's input on the situation. There seems to be a bit of gaskeT showing where the dripping is coming from. Thanks for the help!

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I would just drain it, pull the third member then reseal it.

Check that none of the nuts holding the 3rd on are loose. Check that the breather isn't blocked or loosing oil out the axle seals into your brakes. If none of that is happening, then you'll probably just need new gasket

So I've been ignoring a leak from my rear diff for awhile waiting for some other parts to come in to do things all at once but I just checked and the lower 4 bolts were all finger loose. Is this a common thing?

Tighten the bolts down, mine was doing the same. Tight is tight, to tight is broken

Pinion seal? It looks like it is trailing back.

ETA: upon further inspection of your pictures it looks like your lacking sealing material between your 3rd member and axle. You'll have to drain, pull the 3rd member, clean, re-seal then fill.

Reseal with RTV. The stock gaskets don't cut it on our 3rds with how much torque they handle

Use "the right stuff" if you don't want any leaks :)

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Ha ha some of you would freak out if you knew Toyota used to use paper gaskets for years on rear diff.
most likely nuts or studs are lose. If its tighten, even paper gasket is enough to seal it..

    :D

I would pull the dif, try lube locker seal, add full synthetic fluid.
