Rear diff leak help

Could it possibly be that the dealership did a Mickey Mouse job?

 

that paper gasket sucks, re-do it with RTV and call it done. Use "the right stuff"

 

Take it back and have them fix it the correct way.

 

I’d say take it back, possibly to a different dealership. Unless you prefer driving the rental, just keep your truck till the gasket comes in. I don’t know why you’d have to be truckless for four days when they aren’t going to work on it till the fourth day.

 

Right! The guy said he would have to redo the claim all over again.
