New to the forum. Have a 06 TRD Tacoma that just purchased two weeks ago. Was doing some dash cleaning and engauged the diff lock and didn't know it. Went to work in the morning and the light was blinking. Took me some time to figure out what I had done. Drove about 6 miles at 25 mph. Would this cause any damage I ahould be concerned about?
How do I get on the new member forum so I can give some personal info?
    Thanks, Bob

This is the New Member forum

I'm pretty sure you didn't do any damage. I don't have a TRD, but from what I understand, you need to be in 4WD Low-range, and traveling at less than 10mph (or so) for the locker to actually engage. Its blinking because its letting you know that its not engaged.

All this is in the owners manual. If you don't have one, you should get one. You'll be surprised at all the features you have, that aren't obvious.

^ That pretty much sums it up. Although I've had my locker engage on its own twice without me pushing any button lol

If it was blinking it actually did not lock. Once it locks it turns solid. Before I knew how to actually engage it. It worried me because I hit it a few times by accident when looking for the fog lights at night. Once it does engages you'll know it.

Thanks to the guys that answered so quick. That makes me feel much better. I keep thinking I hear strange sounds coming from the rear end.

Is there a site on here where we can post items for sale?

If you have a 4wd then it won't lock unless you are in 4lo but if you have a prerunner then you would have an issue maybe.

I'm still in the 99 error...haven't reached the new millennium yet. Locking hubs & shifter.
Just so you know I'm having some mechanical issues with mine, trying to work them out too.... Hope nothing major.
