rear diff locking when mudding?

    i like to play with my truck in the mud but never deep mud and ive never used my rear diff lockers. should i be using them? and if i do will i be able to go in deeper mud?:wink:

    The light on the dash becomes solid and not blinking or off.

    OP: I did the grey wire mod where mine works in 2wd now. Ive driven like 40 in snow. Only difference is its locked obviously and if you turn on dry pavement you'll ef it up and its harder to turn.

    Use it or loose it!

    The 5 mph warning is because lockers affect steering and Toyota doesn't need you sueing them because you were stupid and drove into a tree because you tried to turn sharp, while locked, going too fast.

    Front long travel custom: king 10" CO, solid lowers, fabbed spindle, heimed everything ect. Rear still in progress, waiting to be put on: bilstein 9100s, T100 axle. Stock 3.4 engine, 4.30 gears.
    youll get more traction but not as much as 4x4, just go as deep as u want but when ur stuck have someone to pull u out

    exactly^^ you can hit it a little slower while locked but not as slow as a 4x4 could...
