So I was working out on my buddies farm the other day, when a stormed rolled through. We waited the storm out and finished up the work and went to leave. The creek we had to cross to get to his farm was up pretty high and moving fast. We didn't think we could safely pass so we checked the weather and we had about 2 hours of clear skies before another storm would roll in around 9pm and continue to rain for a few days. So we waited till close to 9 and went back to the creek. He took his dodge ram through it this time and I followed suit in my truck. (he was already across by the time I got to it)

So here is my concern I am not sure how high the water was, it was dark when we went through and I didn't waste time looking down once I was in the water. I called my buddy a few minutes ago and he guessed about 20-24 inches

I posted about this on a facebook group and people commented I probably got water inside my rear diff, so I have purchased replacement oil and will change it out tomorrow. Is there anything else I should be worried about?? I saw a few people mention a ELocker vent, and transmission vent but I have no clue where they are located on the truck. Is there a front diff vent

I have also saw a mod to extend the vent on the rear diff, are there any other mods to help keep water out of places.

You're overreacting. Change fluid if you're worried but it won't get in your diff in any troublesome volume under that situation. It's just water to everything else. Add a breather if it'll help you sleep at night.

You sir, just made my day. I didn't think any large amount would have made it in, for the few seconds I drove through it, but all those people telling me to check my Diff had me worried. Since I have the oil I will go ahead and change it, but glad to know I don't have anything else to worry about.
Thank you so much for the info.

Changed both of my diff fluids out early after I figured they were broke in. My read differential was a quart low from the factory and the front was getting dirty. Figure it better to change it early after they are broken in.
