I wouldn't worry too much about it...the rear diff holds about 4 quarts.

those multi-point inspections are BS. they absolutely don't check everything in order to save time.

The point is moot as you filled the axle so it is now your word against theirs.
Kind of disappointing however as "quality workmanship" and "trust" are in bold in the first section of the brochure. :(

Right from the official website, they state fluids 2x. I suppose there is implied plausible deniability as they specifically didn't state axles (or transfer case).

    Multi-Point Inspection

It about $100 to do both differentials and transfer case for the DIY’r. For me, I’d rather spend the $100 and do it myself. Free is sometimes much more expensive.

Im going to bet, that somewhere along the line, for whatever reason the assembly line was never changed to fill the rear axles with the proper amount of fluid from the 2nd gen spec of ~ 3.1ish quarts. Hence the quart + low from the factory on the rear axles.

That stated, you should really always change main drive axle gear oil on any car at somewhere between 2.5-5k miles from new, lots of break in junk will be in that fluid that you dont want circulating around in everything for the next 30-60k miles (especially if its low to begin with).

I dont blame you for going to the dealer to document stuff like this on a new vehicle, but ALWAYS inspect their work and tread lightly with easy to do stuff like oil changes which could be detrimental if an oil change monkey messes up.

I bought my offroad new in March of 2016. After a few miles, the rear diff detonated because it didn't have any gear oil, so some come a little low from the factory :)

    Yikes!!
I took my truck to dealership for inspection and to have it all officially documented. I even got it in writing from the service advisor that they acknowledged the possibility of it coming low from the factory.
