Because zip tying the hose to the filler neck requires zero amount of additional effort.

    I'm sure someone does....
Not me. Clearly not understanding the concept or the real concern.

All ready to relocate the rear diff vent.. doing ever thing the same but decided on a different type of hose.
instead of fuel line i am using 5/16 ID heavy wall silicone vacuum tubing. Should be just as durable as the fuel line but much more flexible.

And I have switched to using the spring style band clamps on everything..

Never really liked the worm gear style

It was easier for me to route the breather hose to the bed cubby, keeping the hose routing all behind the fuel tank.

my reason for relocating isn't actually the concern for water.. I just want to eliminate the possibility of the original one way vent failing thus eliminating a maintenance issue. have seen several videos of pressure buildup being the cause of blown axle seals and lube soaked rear brakes.
And yes, the fact that i like to mod things may be part of it :canada:

I need to do this but the union is on backorder and possibly over a month before the dealers can get them.
Anyone know of a different union that also fits from an auto parts store?

I recommend putting the breather where it is more easily accessible and visible like inside the gas door on the filler neck plastic.

If you are going to frequent backwoods boat ramps (like my brother-in-law) - there is an opportunity to get the tailgate pretty deep in the aqua.

Is this threaded in enough? It felt like I was at the point of stripping/breaking it. It felt like more power to put it on than take it off

It looks good! Doesn’t need to be very tight; it’s just a vent.
