Hi Guys, I found some oil drops on the floor last week and when I went under the truck I found that the differential is leaking. I just want to confirm that this doesn't have a gasket .
Also that wheels, drums and shoes have to be removed to be able to partially remove the axles to be able to pull out the front... any tutorial ? this is a 2010, pre runner, sport no locker.

It uses a thin paper style gasket.
I'd skim coat the mating surfaces with RTV when putting it back together.

I'd let it weep until there was a serious reason to disturb things.

Clean it up, monitor the leak, check level at oil change or tire rotation time.

Just bring it by our shop we can reseal the housing. It’s around 2 hours of labor.

Thank you for the offer, I just have to have time. I also have to fix something on the front suspension < I took the truck to a very reputable shop here in Monrovia, CA to replace lower arms, new shocks, links, steering wheel rack and pinion and I have a clunk on the driver side that I think is must be the shock mount. That is the only thing that wasn't changed because apparently it was good.

    Uhhhh...

Did you try re-torquing all the nuts on the diff housing?

I had that same problem and I found one or two nuts almost finger-loose.

Don't overtorque, of course, but be sure they're all adequately tight.

I did not, I'll try. I believe torque is 18 Pounds.
