Just had the rear differential serviced at the dealership 2 days ago and now it is leaking at the fill plug. I'm going to take it back tomorrow but want to ask the people here if that is normal..? thanks

That's not normal. Before you take it back, maybe you can take care of it yourself. Remove the fill plug and clean the surfaces both on the axle housing and the plug/washer, maybe some dirt or other debris got in there preventing a good seal. Check the oil level while the plug is out. Then reinstall and see how it goes. Also check the torque on the drain plug while yer at it.

P.S. Put a rag under the housing in case any oil dribbles while the fill plug is out... forgot to mention that.

Did they replace the crush washer when they did the job?

thanks for the responses...I do not know if they replaced the crusher or not. i'm going to check it out now...I guess I should've done it myself in the first place.
    thanks again
