Just drive that portion of the freeway tonight. Would have hated to see a taco locked up and spun on that freeway. Scary shit. Glad you're in good shape and ended up with another Toyota!

Yup, the Prius Prime. The next Gen Plug-in. I'm getting over 130 MPG and spend about $20 per week in fuel (gas & electricity) I drive about 350-375 miles a week.

Why did your attorney advise that? Was it part of the settlement terms?

He's adding his electric costs to his insanely low fuel costs.

Doesn't sound like it's saving much money over traditional gas engine. $10 a week, at least here. Gas is probably stupid expensive in CA.

Down here in San Diego 87 is about $3/gallon. Maybe cheaper at costco but I don't go there.

I have a costco close by, just need to make time for it. It's always packed when I roll by it.

true, weekends suck, but I have been running it for 5-6 months and its at least 10 cents a gallon cheaper than others and the prices are increasing everyday. you have to use a COSTCO or VISA credit card tho no cash or other cards FYI

My Math was always a weak point! Here's my gas consumption from Fuely.. [IMG]

the first month I was getting 148.3 mpg. I drove 1,440 miles in 29 days before I had to fill up. It cost me $45.12 for electricity and $28.14 for Gasoline for a total of $73.26. That averages out to $2.53 per day or $18.32 per week, at least for that week. My foot has gotten a bit heavier since then so the numbers are not as good.

Sweet. My wife wants a Prius. I'm thinking yes!

My work just installed charging stations near my office too... Maybe I need one.

Good for you OP. And sticking with Toyota.

Just be aware that many charging stations are pretty expensive. The one here in our building costs $2 per hour, and it costs about 4.50 for a full charge. But there is a charger down the street that only costs .18 cents per kilowatt hour or 1.15 for a full charge.

There are also several different companies that offer charging. Chargepoint, plug share, Sema Connect,... This last one is at Costco in Torrance. On the posative side, there are also many places that offer free charging.

It's a great car. Good luck!
