My truck has been in the shop since June 16th which makes it a full month this weekend. They've had me on a Camry loaner since.

When calling the dealer I was told "maybe some time in august, we have 40 trucks here to do and Toyota hasn't released the parts."

Anyone else going through this or know anything about it?

    June 16th you mean?

Yeah that sucks. I'd be raising hell if I can't take my truck camping in the summer

Sure he meant June 16th but if it is longer than 30 days, check your lemon laws for that state, the dealer may have some legal issues to deal with...

You might have to push a little harder for it, but they should give you a truck as a loaner if you say you need one. Hell, the dealership I bought my 04 from last year wanted to give me a brand new TRD 2016 as a loaner for 2 weeks while they did some work on the 04 before letting me take it home. Some dealerships are more stubborn than others but if you say you need it for work then they should give it to you. Unless all of their rental trucks are under recall too, lol.

A lot of state lemon laws have a 30 day maximum that the vehicle can be in the shop and if it exceeds that, they may have to buy the vehicle back or offer you one of equal compensation. Google lemon laws for your state on cars

They don't have any loaner vehicles. They had enterprise pick me up and put me in the stupid Camry. They said they had 40 tacos for the same thing. I just wonder if anyone else is going through this

Lawyers give free consultations so I would seriously call one to find out what your recourse is and I would let the dealer know you are taking legal action since the lemon law is past due in Florida..I wish each dealer was not so different...

    Lemon Law Eligibility in Florida
In order for your car to be considered a lemon, the following must have occurred within 24 months following the date of delivery (the Lemon Law Rights Period):

    • The vehicle defect or condition must "substantially impair the use, value, or safety" of the vehicle.
    • The vehicle must have undergone at least 3 attempts to repair the same issue.
    • The vehicle must have out of service for repair of the defect for 15 days or more.

I got a Nissan frontier from enterprise. I am need a truck for my work so it wasn't an option for them. If they wanted to keep it, then they had to provide a truck. If there wasn't a truck available then I was driving mine home. Very simple. I took the frontier but not very happy a out it or the whole situation. going on 2 weeks now, you g to call dealer today for status.

Not sure if all 3 have to apply or just one, you will need to do some research on that...
