    Have a 01 Toyota Tacoma V6 3.4L 4wd
    W/lock
Grinding sounds in my rear differential but when I get to high speeds the grinding sound is only heard once or twice per mile can anyone tell me what they recommend changing?
pinion bearings Maybe or is it hard to say until I open it up and look inside?

I would dump the oil and see what comes out, but yeah, you will need to open it to find out the real issue. Sounds like a bearing perhaps.
