I'm having an issue with my rear driver side door. The switch does not work on this door to put the window up or down, but works from the driver's door panel. The truck also doesn't always recognize when the door is open.

I've tried putting a different switch in to see if that was the problem (wouldn't explain not knowing it was open) but that didn't work.

What could be causing this? What else should I look at?

You didn’t accidentally hit the window lock on the drivers door did you?

I'd pull the door flex back and check the wiring, I'll bet you have some broken ones in there.

If you don't find any broken wires there the rear window switch should be supplied power on pin 2 (white wire) from the Door R/L fuse 20A in the drivers fuse box and grounds on pins 3 (Lt Green) and 4 (Yellow) from the Drivers Master Window Switch.

The door ajar switch is in the door jamb near where the striker is for the latch, if you ground the pink wire going to it it should show that the door is open, if it does you have a bad switch , if it doesn't you have a wiring or module problem.

Thank you. I took a look at the wiring yesterday and didn't find any broken wires in the door. Is there a harness that supplies all of these that could be loose or something as well?

Did you test at the switch and see what's missing?

Through Dm93's guidance, we were able to find quick and easy fixes both. The door striker switch was loose and wasn't grounding properly. Tightening that up solved the issues with that.

For the window, it was missing a fuse in the panel. Threw the appropriate 20a in the Door R/L spot in the driver side foot well and we are good to go. Woes of buying a used truck I guess.
