I have a 2009 DC 4wd. It has always leaned about 1/2 to 3/4 to the drivers side. I understand this is almost a given with Tacomas. I have no AAL or TSB. Just stock.
Over the weekend i put 5100's (set at 1.75) on the front with a Toytec 1/4" spacer on the drivers side. Im happy with the height but now the driver's side rear is way, way leaned.
Measurements from ground to bottom of fender:

    Front Passenger: 35.5"
    Front Driver: 35.25"

    Rear Passenger: 36.75"
    Rear Driver: 35.50" ****

What can i do to fix that? The only idea i have is to put a 1" block JUST on the rear driver's side.... Any downsides to that? Any ideas?

    Thanks

no, dont do a block just on one side.

Make sure you were parked on a flat surface when taking measurements. The rear will flex before the front.

I've parked it in several level locations. Checked my tire pressure, etc. It is the same everywhere I measure it.

Measure with a half tank of gas too, that makes a big difference.

Nothing appears to be broken. Also, i measured it with a full tank, and now a half of tank. Its still over an inch difference. :(

Does Toyota not have some sort of spec for "allowable" tolerance in ride height? Every vehicle that I have actually owned an official shop manual indicates ride height +/- and how and where to measure. I would think the Taco also has this. If one side is out of tolerance then they should fix it.

I know the dealer SA response is that is normal but they are not technicians.

I actually meant in general - with so many people discussing the "lean" plus the fact that some lean more than others, etc. There is typically a spec. Spec and allowable tolerance on ride height, on spring rates, etc. I mean dang how can a company like Toyota not recognize this and make the spring rates different for left vs right?? Seems like the left side rates need to be higher if there is more weight on the left - period.

The lean that most people talk about is in the front. It's usually ~.5" lower on the driver's side. The springs actually are different from driver's to passenger. They are only off by the smallest margin, most people couldn't even visually notice it.

The OP has something different going on.

Fair enough. We just got a '15 late this past calendar year and it leans over an inch to the left front and rear - all brand new. I would really like to find out the factory tolerance on this so I could get very specific with the dealer about the problem and a fix.

I will post up measurements on a totally flat surface later this week when I get some time.
