Sas swap, dana 44 high pinion front, Corporate 14 bolt locked, disc brake conversion. 8 inch superlift springs on 39.5 iroks, 5:38 front and rear. Hydraulic assist, 3 inch body lift, Yukon axles front/rear, bilstein shocks, CAI, rock ripper header.
I know someone on this forum has added a double cardan joint to their one piece driveshafts. I just need to know where to go to get one. I've been calling places all day and can't get anyone to sell me just the joint. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated

I have one but not sure where to buy just the joint, sorry if this is a stupid question but you do know that you will have to shorten your drive shaft to add it right ?

I'm hoping me having 13 inches of lift and only 1.5" of the slip yoke in the flange will save me from shortening it

It looks like you have a serious crawler so you don't want to give up any of the compression distance on that slip yolk though do you ? The double cardon join has got to be 6" longer than the standard u-joint ?

I actually think it it would help, I've had my slip yoke completely come out on several occasions due to flex on rocks. I'm hoping this will solve my slip yoke problem, and my vibration problem. I'd use the center double cardan in a Tacoma two piece driveshaft if someone can assure me it will work.

I couldn't get them on the phone, I kept getting their machine. I did call high angle drive line and they said 300....just for the cardan joint and u-joints...:/

Yeah, I can see that easily because that is where all the expense is in a driveshaft ...the tubing is cheap. I had a 85 with a massive leaf lift like yours back in the day and it was tricky. I hate to say it but even with a double cardon your joint angles are still going to be beyond what a u-joint is intended to do, each joint is only designed to operate at around 3.5 degrees max. The double card will help but with the angles you have I don't think you will ever be vibe free. Did you already try pinion shims too ? A double cardon actually requires the pinion to be pointed right at the shaft so you will need to shim for sure.

I was gonna just shave my 14 bolt, spin it up, and weld on new perches. I want to relocate my shocks to the top of my axle anyways with a shock tower.

Any drive line shop worth it's salt can do the job. Keep looking. The choices for parts will be junk yard/used OEM and new Spicer or Neepco. If you go with used OEM from a Taco make sure it is from a 99 or earlier. The joints are slightly larger and replacement OEM equivalent ones can be had for around $30 from High Angle.
