Do you recommend gently prying the drums off if stuck by using the 2 threaded bolt holes on drum with lubricant if all rusty?
Gentle tap with rubber mallet and slowly wrench on the bolts until it pops

    You can try the bolts.
If your drums are really rusted, you’ll probably pull the threads out.
Get them snug, smack it with a hammer.
Snug them up more, smack it again.

Be sure to back the shoes off FIRST.
That’s where the spoon tool comes in handy.

I jacked up the rear on the rear differential, and placed jack stands on the axle tube, close to the rear wheels.
You 100% need wheel chocks. The front wheels are free to roll once the rear tires are off the ground. Place the chocks FIRST before you do anything.

This is true, so long as it’s not the shoes that’s making them “stuck”.
The shoes self adjust. Over time the drum develops a groove and the shoes will catch on the lip of the groove.
If you beat them hard enough you get them off, eventually. But you’ll have chunks of shoe and mangled retaining hardware.

Back the shoes off first, you don’t always have to.
    But it’s good practice.

If the drum is “loose” but catches when you try to pull it off.
It’s the shoes hitting the lip on the drum.
