its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
I have been using the Redline w/moly in my new 2013 truck so far so good, I just thought it was a high quality grease regardless of the moly, it took quite a bit of purging to get out the old grease when I got the truck at 49k don't think it was ever greased I took care of all the 30k maint. items I really liking the truck its only the sr5 2.7l but im liking it, I had the 04 3.4l trd previously, this will be my 4th Toyota truck

Nice, nice. I'm a Toyota guy myself, I lean a little more towards Land Cruisers but I love my Taco too.

So I drove down the street with the e brake pulled, and the clunk was still there, so I'm going to eliminate the drums/shoes as a potential problem. I'm still thinking a blown shock or bad bushing.

Side note, does anyone know where to get the bushings for bilstein shocks that fit the Toyota posts?

EnergySuspension.com search for shock bushing. There's about 40 differant sizes to pick from.

If you suspect a rear shock, them remove them, and re-do your test run.

So I removed my shocks tonight in anticipation for some softer valved ones coming in tomorrow.... and no more clunk. So my guess is a blown shock or worn bushing. Though the bushings appeared to be fine.. I haven't yet removed them from the shock eye

Well I put the old bushings on my new shocks and what do you know, the clunk is back. Guess the bushings wore out.

Nice troubleshooting on swapping the bushings over to the new shocks to try to find the clunk. This is good to know.

lol that's okay, I'm putting stock shackles back on my truck and I found out when I tried to put one of those in that I need a different bushing kit. So I have to basically take everything apart again anyways
