So I noticed today that my driver side is lower than the passenger side in the rear. I have a Boss kit with and AAL and 3 degree shims in the rear. What are my options to get this fixed?

    Thanks

That there my friend is called the Taco Lean... 1/4" spacer for the drivers side front strut should fix you up. Headstrong has em.

I don't need it for the front of the truck. I have adjustable coil overs and took care of that when I installed in the beginning. I'm just trying to fix the backend.

Yeah the 1/4" spacer fixes the "Taco Lean" ... If you already built the 1/4" additional when the struts were installed you should be good. You can crank up a 1/4" on the drivers side too if you have the struts with a tool and adjustable threads... do it now before the threads get dirty...

You really did not read the responses in this thread...did you?
    Also, tacomas don't have struts.

Talking to the head mechanic at the dealership last week, he mentioned guys putting washers between the frame and the bed to compensate for the lean. Although it may work fine in the short term, I haven't looked into how it may affect anything else down the road...

Yeah... really? Seriously....??? I offered up THE solution for Taco Lean... and yer bashing me :luvya:

I have front struts and rear shocks on my truck AND a 1/4" spacer on top of the drivers side front STRUT to fix the lean. It's more apparent (the lean) after lifting on most trucks. and........ just sayin.

The OP already stated he has adjustable coilovers and was looking for a solution in the back. You offered up nothing that wasn't already stated in the thread that you didn't read through.
And a MacPherson Strut based suspension doesn't have an upper control arm. Tacomas have a double a-arm with a coilover. You have a 1/4" spacer on top of you COILOVER.

You're seriously not going to get rid of that? There's actually two factory designed so-called "leans." Drivers's side (North America) and passengers side (which are built for markets in the southern hemisphere.) You'll lose performance because of the coriolis effect. Especially with a lift. That's why they drive funny.

Ditch all the spacer BS and deal with it properly. Get yourself either an AAL minipack or get an all new set of packs entirely for the rear and be done with it. Also, your body mounts especially the rad supports are a cause for some of the lean you are seeing. Replace them using the ones on the link you follow from the post above from energy and a lot of your issues will recede. Following all of this should net you a lean free Tacoma.

Btw. For the record after going through the entire suspension system and replacing all the body mount bushings as well on my truck, I have not been able to identify the "Taco Lean" so many on here talk about.

I have it when ever I fill up the tank with fuel!! goes away slowly...then it's back again!

OP - the "fix" other than the cab support - the fix is to add the spacer UP FRONT. If you stand back say a block or so..the lean you can see in the front as well... its not just in the back is my point.

Manufactures mislabel coilovers as struts all the time. Hense the perpetual misinformation.

    all tore up already
I had same issue and got same responses. Im running hs 3 leaf aal and im 1.25" low on the left. The front is dead nuts even, i dont understand so many people recommending changing the front to fix the back. Adding a spacer to the lf will do nothing if not sink rear more due to more weight now carried on lower corner. Ive rarely(never) seen a spacer used on one side in the rear, and think i need to but cant figure out if it will change anything in a negative way.

In my mind it should be ok because axle stays same and everything else would go up on that side but im sure theres a reason people dont do it.

    Help with knowledge please
