Just took my truck through a car wash, pulled out and went to the next building over for some Chick-fil-a. Parked the truck and when I went to leave I couldn't back out. Something is locked up. This happened once before after washing my truck and my theory is maybe the rear drums are locking up? Last time i had it towed and while it was sliding off the flatbed it freed itself up. I didn't realize it until now because the truck has been fine ever since the last time it happened. Anyone else ever come across this?

Just two weeks ago I went through a lot of mud and some water crossings. Rear drums locked even when I put it in 4lo. Rock it between D and R and keep pressing brakes is what helped me. Next choice smack the drums with a hammer a few times

If you had the brakes really hot and then put water on them they can fuse like that. It happens to disk brakes too.

I was pretty cautious the first time, I thought the same thing about it being a diff problem. That's why I had it towed.

When that has happened I just get out and kick the tires a few times and it frees itself. You'll hear the pop when it breaks free. Never had to put it in 4lo to free them.

Maybe you're E brake cables are toast, I had them go on my '06 and they fried my brand new brakes and one of my brand new $110 brake drums. They are exposed and would easily get wet during a car wash. When the E brake cables rust up, they can lock the brakes on.
