I need a new rear end! Based on the information I decoded on the door sticker, the rear axel is an 8 inch ring gear 4:10 ratio 2 pinion open. If you need more information, it's a 1996 toyota tacoma 4wd 3.4 engine, 6 cylinder, non locking rear differential, and no abs breaks. I either need a full rear axel or just a rear differential chuck. I live on the boarder of Rhode Island and Connecticut. Someone please help!

Thank you! But wow! That's a lot more expensive than I was anticipating!

What’s going on that it needs replacing?

The rear seal had a slow leak and the inner barring are shot now. I found a used chuck out of a junk yard. Truck is going to the shop this weekend

    Oh man, that is unfortunate.
Glad to hear you found some junkyard parts. I bet that was way cheaper than anything else.

I blew up the rear pinion gear in 2020 and had to drive a bunch of miles to get to pavement. That driving took out the carrier, the locker and everything else.
While they were in there I had them regear from 4.10 to 4.88 so they had to do the front as well. I decided that since they were in there anyway might as well add a front locker.
    It was very expensive.
