I've searched rear end squeak and very little is showing for me. I have a 2019 TRD Sport with around 7000 miles on it. I have a 1/2 spacer and a shim in the rear end, AND THE SQUEAK IS DRIVING ME INSANE! I read to lift the rear end and spray the leaf springs good to clean them out and not lube it at all so it doesn't gather any more dirt. I've sprayed them with a white lithium grease and it didn't help a bit. Any other suggestions I can get to?

Soak them in Lucas Motorcycle chain lube. It'll clear up that squeak for about 3-6 months depending on what you are driving through.

Well that's simple. Only time I leave pavement is to go down my driveway and its limestone. I do live in Central Louisiana where the air is... very moist to say the least. I'll be sure to try the chain oil. Thank you.

Wouldn't they have that fixed before the 2019's came out though. In a perfect world probably. Lol.

    Yeah.
And '18's I think, likely will apply to all 3rd gens. They apparently dismantle, clean, and replace the pads -- not sure if the pads are a new P/N or just the same one.

My squeak showed up after the first dusty trail run, but it has since disappeared. Or I just learned to block it out.

I've owned mostly chevys, this is my first Toyota. I'm happy with my swap if I can get rid of this god awful squeak .

Just make sure it's Lucas. The other brand never worked for me.

Are you sure it's the leafs? Sometimes, it's the bushings.

It very well could be the bushings. I just know its the rear end. I can't stand on it or shake the bed and make it happen but it does it pretty often when I'm driving or braking to slow down on a couple of bumps. It drives me up a wall having it happen on a new truck.

Doesn't seem like just spraying them worked. I'll try pressure washing the leaf springs out and spaying again to see how that works on the next day its not raining.

Two things to check since you already lubed the leafs.

The cab mounts. They can settle and cause a squeak that sounds like leafs squeaking. You can access four of them easily. I think the torque is 30N-m. You will want to verify this.

If you search my posts, you can find the Taco Service Manual download.

The other is the two push fasters in the top of the rear fender liners. I just replaced mine with wellnuts and SS screws and fender washers.

I ended up doing something similar with my wheel liners too. Drove me insane, but that was more of a rattle over bumps on mine

I hear a rattle also. Defiantly when my windows are up. When down I hear the squeak when slowing down or driving around 30 or so. Did it fix your rattle?
