I have a 2003 Tacoma D-cab 4x4 and when I come to a stop and release the brake it jumps from the rear end. Also, does anyone know how to improve the steering to be more responsive and stiff?

    Thanks Taco's :)

To answer your questions, I think the jump you feel at a stop is possibly your torque converter disengaging if it's an automatic transmission. A simple trans fluid drain n fill may smooth that out. As far as tightening up your steering, I would start by flushing your power steering. Every one needs to do this eventually, but never do. You may also find the you can't really get the steering to tighten up too much, but a good start is to check all of your suspension and steering components for wear. I had an older truck that the upper ball joints had gone bad, so I replaced them and the steering was much tighter after that. I hope this helps you some. Good luck.
