Shop said they just had to replace the hitch and mounts, the frame is fine, no other damages.

Good. I hope they're right. I think of it like a football player getting knocked on their noggin. Sometimes you don't find out until later (doglegging, tire wear, alignment, seemingly unrelated stuff, etc.).

True.. at that speed, I would definitely be getting a second estimate. However, I hope they are right.

Yeah, don't let them close out the insurance claim. if it was a hard enough hit, it might have shook something else close to failure. Most ins companys will allow the claim to stay open for a year or more. Keep this incident with your extended warranty papers, ect.

 

Time for a new ride buddy. Get the Mod pen out.
