That is because damn near all rear end accidents are avoidable, hell most accidents are avoidable if people would just pay attention.

    Glad you are OK OP!

Thanks guys, I'm doing alright. My back is sore like a mother, but other than that no real damage.
No airbags deployed in the truck, I guess the front impact wasn't hard enough. Though I thought they went off in a rear collision as well.
Gonna try to get my wheels back, as I kept on to the stock ones. Sucks that I barley installed them like 2 months ago. :(

Totaled. PULL OFF as much aftermarket stuff as you can immediately. Once they total it, they don't give you much time to say goodbye.

Yep, OP go get some shitty ass wheels now because you're racing against the clock to get your shit back when they inevitably total it.

Sorry that happened to you man.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
They won’t go off unless hit a certain way. They cause more Injury than prevent in low speed accidents

and rip all your aftermarket stuff off. Unless you had it under the coverage they won’t give you jack for it

50-60 mph is a serious crash. An earlier-year Grand Cherokee (say 2004) with fuel tank behind the axle would've burst into flames.

Judging by the LH bedside being buckled, the SMC fiberglass bed is probably cracked across the width and would need to be replaced. Bent frame replacement on its own is estimated at around $14000 parts and labor plus ~3 months waiting time for frame availablity, so insurance co. would pay for 3 months' car rental. Your truck is likely totaled.

Have the truck towed to your home. After the appraiser/adjuster has looked it over, remove all your mods. Next time a tow truck comes would be to tow it to a salvage yard.

A few years back I was pulling up to a red light and looked in my rear view and saw a car approaching a little too fast to suit me so I eased over into the left hand lane and watched as a Cadillac slamed into the rear of an F150 that i was previously right behind. Got 2 more cars too. I drove a couple of block then pulled over and checked for shrapnel damage. Nope, all was good. Drove home with a big grin on mt face.
