Rear Fender Liner Rattle Fix

    Hello all,

    After over 10 years the plastic push connectors holding in the plastic liners in the rear wheel wells of my tacoma have become worn out, causing the liner to rattle everytime I go over a bump or close the doors of my truck. This can be fixed for less than $5 and a trip to your local hardware store.

    There are 3 plastic connectors on each fender liner. I popped those out and replaced them with 1/4 inch hex bolts and a nice big washer on both the front and back side of the fender liner. You will need 6 total bolts and nuts and 12 total washers. Not a bad idea to pick up a few extra incase you drop a nut.

    I put the bolts in from the wheel side of the liner so the nut is on the inside of the bedside. If you pop out the little cubby in the bed you can access this area, just requires some finesse to get the washer and nut on the bolt.

    After I snugged these new bolts up; no more rattles and truck sounds solid when I close the doors.
