Finished routing my parking brake cables and hooking them up. This is for the 2000-06 SOS brake conversion using the screw in type supplied cables.
The original parking brake cables were to long, so i cut them down myself and re-crimp some ends on the cables.
Also made a plate to run the cables thru the crossmember where original cable was run. I didn't measure the inner cable length because I trimmed them on the truck slid in the outer cable.
I did measure the length I cut off the original cables. The driver's side inner cable I cut off 60" the passenger side I cut off 5.75" The outer driver side cable was 51" long and the passenger side was 100"
    long after trimming them down.

How hard was adjusting the slack?

I may have to route my e-brake cables the same way you did yours, the passenger side across to the driver side via the rear axle and then alongside the drivers frame rail.

Just do it on the "Best" truck that you have, if you have the time and "Money".

Looks good, but also a lot of work. If I was 30 instead of 65 and crippled, this would be a nice project. But at this stage in my life, I'll just live with the rear drum brakes.:)

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The cutting of the backing plates I can’t do. Lol. I already have my disc brake brackets mounted. I just removed the bearing and did it all. I can’t bring myself to cut up rust free backing plates when I have 4 of these damn trucks

Have you got far enough to test how well they hold? It was said on SOS’s website the holding power is weaker than stock drums which don’t do much to hold my truck currently, though they likely need to be adjusted
