Does anyone else have issues with vibration on their long bed after a lift. Or are blocks prone to give it a floating/vibe sensation. I’ve seen so many posts where people put 3/2 lifts and no issues. I have a 1.5” tapered rear block and it feels like I have a slight vibration. I understand it won’t ride like stock.
At this point can’t tell if it’s the northeast roads or the stiff ride.
    Any thoughts?

I did and it doesn’t feel much different. This is my first lifted truck so it’s hard to know if this how it is supposed to ride.
Hard to tell if it’s a vibe or our roads in upstate NY.

yes, you will, or might get vibes. it could be your axle vibrating so you need to replace your needle bearing. the way to test that is drive the truck and put it into 4x4. if the vibes go away, then its your needle bearing.

other reason for vibes is that you changed the angle of your driveshaft. so have to find a way to fix that, get a single piece driveshaft made, or live with it.

im lifted about 3" front 2" rear and i have vibes that come and go....i just live with it. eventually if it bothers me too much, ill install a one piece driveshaft.

What’s your psi and alignment like? If you feel the vibes at lower speeds, try turning on 4WD and see if they go away. If they do it needle bearing.
You might need to check and mess with drive angles as well.

I did do the tapered 1.5” block from American Automotive.
Do you know who else sells the 1.5” blocks?

Im in the same boat. I’ve messed with 3° shims in the back and adding washers and spacers to the carrier bearing. After much trial and error, I removed the shims and have about 10 stainless fender washers at the carrier bearing. I only get vibes sometimes but if I do they are at the same speed 53-54 indicated mph.

The needle bearing has been replaced when I had the Eibach Pro Shocks installed, and I’m scheduled for and alignment this week. I’ll check the tire pressure and see what that is at.
I’m debating whether to go to the Eibach 1” block.

I’ll say when I tried the recommended (40) psi with my 255/85/16 ST Maxx with oem UCAs, it felt like I was driving a boat. I didn’t like it at all. Lowering the psi to 32 has a much better feel, even when I had the stock UCAs. The SPC UCAs and a good alignment helped as well.

No cupping or feathering. This block was recently installed. I’ll check that too.

I really wanted a 3/2 Lift, but after much homework, found the 2/1 Lift to be the most reliable. Even with just a 1" rear block, my rear end feels the same as it did before the lift.
