Rear Fog Lights

    The 42 amp rating was just based on Rigid's website. In the specifications tab all of the lights come in between 20 and 41 amps. I just picked 42 to pick the highest option to err on the side of caution. Of course, product 90164 doesn't have an amperage rating in the description.

    Edit: I'm an idiot, just realized I was looking at the watts, not amps...

    Yes I was assuming WATTS.

    Some vehicles monitor the current of their lighting systems fairly closely. I know that my JK was very sensitive to this. I really don't know if the Taco is sensitive or not? Not knowing the true rating of the lights makes the question even harder. As long as your not exceeding the DOT tail-lighting requirements, the Rigid Industries are nice lights. However, from what little research I've done on this subject, any style of STOP Light should fulfill the same requirements. And should be a lot cheaper to purchase and easier to install (electrically). If you just really want the RI lighting, get it and give it a try. If your going to tap the OE circuit, you can easily add a relay if necessary.
