    Hi All,

First Tacoma, well first time owning and driving a truck! So i'm curious if its worth buying and installing rear (maybe front) sensors that would help me park? Is it worth the cost to buy and install?

If so, would anyone have recommendations on the brand purchased.

    Thanks.

The technology package has rear sensors and a back up camera included, if that helps you. As far as front sensors, I just use the windshield.

Hard sayin', not knowin'. I can tell you when I got my 2010 I thought the back up camera was a friggin stupid idea and not worth the $300 upcharge. Told the dealer he could either remove it or absorb the cost which he did. 3 days later I backed into something, without damage thank gawd, like a dumbass and have used it since. I know this upgrade was discussed alot in the 2nd gen forum and tons of folks had aftermarket cameras installed though I haven't seen squat on the new system mentioned in here. Looking forward to using mine very very soon.

I thought the TRD has integrated backup camera as standard equipment, no?

If it does, no sensors really needed. I have the sensors, but the camera works just as well. Sensors only helped me once, but it was for cross traffic alert when a guy came flying out of the drive thru when I was backing up.

Yes it does have the backup camera witht the TRD package. Just wondering if getting/installing aftermarket rear sensors are worth getting.

IMOP, don't need them. I can get just as close with the camera and because it has a wide field of vision, I can see everything the sensors can except for the cross traffic (maybe). They are on all the time, so in effect I'm using them, but could easily live without it.
