Hello, I recently got a hitch and I’m looking for some good quality, anti-theft hitch recovery attachments. Thanks in advance

Leave your recovery goodies in the truck till you need them .

Unless you plan to never use the receiver for anything else then weld things fast and call it good.

    What ever you like .

I have used my pintle hook .

    A receiver insert with a shackle .

You can spend big money for fancy brand recovery gear.

The thing to remember each recovery is somewhat different .

At times two or more cables being attached is the beat way.

I only go to the beach and get stuck in some really soft sand. Usually I get pulled out with a strap or a winch so a shackle should do it right?

All I have ever used for recovery with my hitch is a hitch pin. Slide the loop of your recovery strap into the receiver hitch and stick your hitch pin through it, works like a champ. The few times I have had to pull some one loose or get a tug its worked well, and for under $10 you can't go wrong.

Receiver shackle adapter and a shackle. I’ve used mine plenty of times without issue and I lock it with a locking hitch pin. I have a smittybilt I believe.

Yeah man it sucks, don’t know what the hell the PO did to it. Check out the fluid, I’ve only put 2k on it. F74035A0-221A-4B48-8B34-1C19849DF705.jpg

I’m replacing all my fluids at 75k. I’m currently at 71,500 and this rusty piece of shit still running like a top. Your truck looked new when you bought it so it’s maybe just a faulty transmission rather than user error/abuse.

I’ve been looking around for a new truck but I seriously don’t want to accumulate debt this early. I need 4x4 for the beach but I’m honestly getting tired of doing the same shit while I’m there so I don’t have any use for 4WD anymore. Guess I’ll just keep saving up for a 2022-23

I stick a rope into the receiver and thread a pin through the loop.

Factor55. Pricey but a solid piece of equipment especially if you don’t have an aftermarket bumper with shackle mount options. No doubt there are more economical variants available.

I use a soft shackle for the rear which goes into the F55 hitch link. Should last a long time, hopefully.
