Got home from the dealer and discovered my new '16 DCSB rear interior light doesn't turn off when the rocker switch is set to "door" mode. It will turn off if I turn the rocker switch to off, but then the front interior lights don't light up either. The front lights turn off when all the doors are closed, but the rear light stays on. I'm hoping it's something I can fix easily as I hate to take it back to a dealer so soon.

Which model truck do you have, and do you have ¨smart key¨?

TRD Sport DCSB with tech. Yes I have the smart key, though it's not smart enough to lock the tailgate.

This may sound silly, but is the switch on the rear light itself, not the rocker up front, set to door, or on?

    1. if you have a double cab you have 2 switches to deal with in regards to the dome light and map lights.

    a. if the dome light is set to on, and the map light is set to anything but off, the dome light will stay on until the 20 min master timer shuts of all lights.
    b. if the dome light is set to door, and the map light is set to anything but off, the dome light will only come on when a door opens.
    c. if the map light is set to off, the dome light will never come on regardless of the dome light setting.

the dome light only has an on and door setting

the maps lights have on/door/off setting.

    2. if you have an access cab, you only have map lights.

when swapping out the dome lights, set the maps lights to off.
