I have 2.5 fox shocks all around and was fine for a couple years but now it feels like the rear of my truck bottoms out when I go through dips to fast. Not sure if I need to change from the stock leaf springs to something else. Right now I'm only running 265-70 -17 bfg but want to go bigger the next time I need new tires

^Upgraded leafs won't prevent bottom out if you go through dips too fast. (And if they do, they'd be too stiff for other situations.) Need to upgrade your bumpstops. Wheelers Superbumps are a good choice.

Is it common for this to happen. Two years after I installed the fox shocks or could it be that the shocks need to be rebuilt already. Rears do not have reservoirs and I'm not sure if my leaf springs are just worn out. I will also look into newer and better bump stops.
    Thanks

Is your year Tacoma subject to the recall to replace the rear leaf springs? If it is still open Toyota will replace for free. Try that first?

I went with the yellow archive garage bump stops in the rear. Nice and soft at impact.

I had my rear leaf springs on my 2006 Tacoma quad cab TRD replaced for free a Toyota Dealership under a recall.

Share a photo of your leaf springs and bump stop. If there is little to no gap, the leaf springs might just be worn out, and in that case new leaf springs may be just what you need. Blown shocks could also be a problem if they aren't doing their job anymore.

I blew out my OEM rear shocks last spring. Thats what it felt like. It was borderline dangerous hitting expansion joints. Running a 6112/5160 and OME springs, archive garage bumps now. I carry some extra weight and it's so much better. There were visible witness marks from the oem bumps on the frame.

Just cause shocks are only 2 years doesn't mean they're still good. Mileage, type of use ,and quality of build all make a difference. I'd check them. Press down hard on each corner to see stiffness and rebound.
