My rear is settling down a bit and the ride is less than optimal (AAL with Billi 5100) but I dont have a whole lot of money for a new leaf pack right now.

Im looking at the greasable Daystar 1.25" lift shackles and greasable main eye bolt. I hear that the old bushings can lead to a rougher ride so replacing them can help a bit.

A few months down the road Ill probably pick up the Wheeler's 5 pack (I still two and haul so I want the overload spring that the Dakars dont offer).

Anyone running the above shackles or know of any issues with shackle lifts I should know about? What type of grease should I use when I install?

I say no shackles and save your money until you can get a leaf pack. Your stock leaf pack sucks...so your just spraying perfume on a turd. Keep an eye out in the for sale section and over on ttora.I just scored an all pro pack for $210 shipped to me. Iirc haddix still has some alcans for sale also.

Yeah, that has crossed my mind. If I go with the wheeler 5 pack, Ill need a lift shackle anyways...

I thought about dakars but I still do some haulling and towing so I kind of want an overload spring as well. If I can use the stock overload with Dakars, I might look into it, but I think the overall lift might be too much...
