yo, working on a lift for my '15 DCSB, I am planning on doing a 2-2.5' lift on the back, so what shocks would be the best? I was looking at toytec shocks cause they are local, but to save some cash, was also looking at the extended travel bilstein 5100s, would they work because they are designed for 3-4" of lift?

Go with the extended 5100’s, they’ll work. Go ahead and throw a u bolt flip kit on there maybe with some upgraded bumpstops too

so the fact that i am doing a 2-2.5" aal in the back, will not matter that those shocks are suggested for 3-4"? that is really my main concern

so i just looked at them, the differnce would be $30 between the extended 5100s and the 5125s, are the 5100s better or just different?

Do you have a part number for those extended 5100s?

The b110s and 5125s are more like universal bilsteins shocks that happen to fit Tacomas and other toyota vehicles. Whereas actual 5100s are designed for the Tacomas, but unfortunately don't leave much room for lift. B110s are bit more extended than 5125s and I think the part number I listed above should more than meet your needs
