Rear main seal plate install question

    1998 white extended cab
    Bilstein 5100’s with ome 881 coils on lowest setting, JBA upper control arms, LCE header, 31x10.5x15 falken wildpeaks.
    Workin on rebuilding and on the back of the rear main plate it has a little grove from one side to the other (like a half circle) Is that where I place a nice bead of rtv? And then do I just hand tighten and let the rtv set up for like 10-15 min then torque to spec?
