What have yall used to put rear main in 3rz? Preferably without removing the seal plate. Any ideas?

on my 2nd gen just preyed it out with a screwdriver and tapped it back with a soft blow using the old seal as a punch against new one. Work well.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
If it is like the 1gr, it’s better to remove the plate where the seal it’s installed. Remove the seal and then re install the seal and properly installing fipg sealant(if I remember the sealant name correctly)

That plate meets the oil pan. Rather leave it alone

I put it in using a 4" round French drain deal. Looks pretty good actually should be OK. I cleaned and cleaned and was careful. The pilot bearing also went in well. The issue now is this luk flywheel I planned to use is marred up bad right out of the box...

You can use this seal puller (Lisle 58430 Shaft Type Seal Puller), which is what I used (and use for other similar seals when doing the timing belt.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I had a set of all different diameters to install seals bushings anything like that that was driven in by hand.

It either came from Snapon Or Matco I had great dealers.

I could hunt for the part # when I have time on the web sites or you could.
