    grab 2 of these

While the new OME packs come with isolators on the ends of each leaf, the section between the ends and centers can still touch. Like stated, take the time to pull the leaf packs apart, cut full length leaf liners, and grease up the isolators real good and never have to worry about squeaks.

No, they don’t touch anymore at the centers. Here’s a good read on the newest Dakar’s:

They have small <1/16th of an inch shim between the center of the springs at the pin, but during articulation the leafs will contact themselves in the area between the center pin and ends of the leafs. spend the extra 30 bucks for the leaf liners, do it proper take the leafs apart paint them and proper reassemble with leaf liners and a good helping of grease at the end isolator pads, you will thank me later.

Has anyone found official instructions for this job? I want to upgrade my mediums to heavy but my local shop wants official type instructions, maybe from arb.

    Here is this-

But honestly I would have to question the reputability of this "off road" shop as this is a pretty straight forward and common thing. I would also presume this shop has the internet. I found that link after a 2 minute google search.
