I have a 09' Tacoma Prerunner 2wd V6 Auto. Last guy who owned it messed up the rear output seal area with a screw driver removing the seal. I bought another output shaft new from Toyota because this one is still leaking. I have a few questions if anyone can help me out that would be wonderful! I have never worked on an output shaft housing before other than a simple seal replacement. I notice I could not find any helpful videos of the correct way to do this? I also have ran into an issue of not being able to find any how to guide online? I notice it seems like there are 3 things that connect to the rear output shaft housing with bolts. I am sure one has to be the speedo? Not sure of what the other 2 are? I also would like to know where the Rear output shaft housing mounts to the trans do you just use RTV Transmission sealant as the gasket? I would love any advice that anyone can throw my way. Anything would be helpful at this point. I am worried that once I get that housing off that there will be something that has to be aligned up with something on those 3 connected things and I will mess that up. Like I said any service how to or videos or just advice would be more than welcomed. BTW these forums have been a life saver to me!

I noticed that I was mistaken, the 2 other spots are for the rear mounting bolts. I feel so stupid. But thanks for the information for sure.
