Someone shed some light on this for me. My rear parking assist sonar just doesn't work. I no longer get the beeping warning noise when reversing towards objects. This just started happening in the past few weeks. The only difference I can think of is I had the trans TSB performed but I wouldn't think that could affect the park assist.

This may sound stupid but is it turned on? There is a switch to turn it on and off. I assume because it would get annoying when you are off road.

Probably a bad sensor. Take to dealer and get it fixed.

It is on, I verified this first. I have been hauling a good number of things in the bed lately with the tailgate down. If you have ever done this, the sensor alert will be a continuous loud beeping (very annoying btw). Not sure if that might have something to do with it or not. But I'll head smitty99's advice as he's usually pretty dead on with stuff on these trucks.

Sounds good. Just wanted to make sure! Does sound like a faulty sensor.

So, just to confirm, you can turn the sonar off yeah? I plan to have the bed down a lot hauling kayaks hangin out the back.

I disconnected the negative battery terminal for about 30 and it seems to have fixed it. But you can disable the beeping noise through the vehicle settings yes.
