    Hi Guys,
In the process of replacing my rear pinon seal. I got the old one out and the new one in but haven't replaced the flange/re-torqued the 30mm yet. I was watching Timmy's video on the matter, and saw that when loosening the 30mm nut he used a pry bar on two of the driveshaft bolts in order to hold it in place. When I removed it, I just set the parking brake and gave it the beans. My question is, did I mess something up in doing it this way (pre-load, backlash, I don't know what else because I don't know very much about this)? If someone can ease my mind, or tell me what I need to check before putting everything back together I would appreciate it. I plan to follow the manual's directions on torquing down the nut.

    Thank you!

Don't worry about it. I'd just reassemble and go. No sense in stressing over it. Send.

    Just like he said ^^^^

You should be OK. The only caution I can give is dont use an impact to tighten the large nut. There is a crush sleeve that is supposed to be a one time use thing but one replaces it unless they are doing a total overhaul. This sleeve is used to set bearing preload. Tighten your nut to torque and maybe just a smidge more.

Thank you guys, I get nervous over little things. I will re-torque to spec per the manual, maybe give it a hair like you said.
