D-taco if you could give dimensions of your back and bottom king board, that would be super cool!!!

Did you leave the "back panel"? I hear the goose system takes these out & they get super noisy

I’ve got one in my 3rd gen. There was noticeably more road noise. I took out the back panels and put a layer of noico followed by a layer of noico foam. After doing that, it’s pretty much like stock now.

I put all my bolts in loosely and then adjusted the panels and then tightened them down. Depending on where the bolts are, I tightened them enough to be flush with other panel. If you overtighten (like the bolts that go where the seatbelt bracket) you can get everything out of whack.

I removed the back panel and applied some sound deadening. Refer to the attached image, it has some rough measurements. I recommend verifying on your end.
I purchased a 5'-8' sheet of 1/2" king starboard which left me with extra so I also made a tailgate panel.

I've honestly been very happy with it.
No drawers for me, as it makes no sense for the 3rd gen.
After initial install, yes it was loud and the panels weren't perfectly aligned.
Had to rush back to Calgary to film a movie, then when I got home I uninstalled and added sound deadening everywhere in the back.

The truck is nice and quiet now, lots of room for my giant fridge, and no rear passengers! Perfect for me to be honest.
Ive gotten mine really wet and dirty multiple times too. I offroad a LOT, and it's holding up great.

It’s really great when someone wants to ride with you and they open the rear door to wonder where the hell your seats went lol

Was asked on IG by a TW member for the height from deck to door surround. Fig I would post it here as well.

Great work on the foamcore Explore. Actually, great work on the entire platform.

I might take the plunge on a 60/40 split and leave the single seat. No need for a fancy solution as I just want to mount a fridge / slide. Would love to see this completed for some inspiration

I ran a 60/40 delete in my JK for years and it worked well. Looking forward to seeing your approach in a Tacoma.

Yes, you've hit the point of this thread on the head. This is to delete the rear seat.
