I have a ‘25 Sport Hybrid (iForce Max) so I get that the batteries are under the bottom of the rear seats

… so is there no way to have the rear seats fold down totally flat?

Yes, I can get the headrests off and pull the straps to lower the upper part of the seats, but without a way to fold the seat bottoms up, they don’t lay flat

just wanted to make sure I’m not missing something I couldn’t find in the owners manual or YouTube video yet

    TIA

The seats that I looked at at the local dealership would not fold flat on the SR5 or Off-Road models.

I wonder if the seats fold flat on the 4Runner? It's probably different but ig they fold flat on the 4R maybe a solution could be found for the Tacoma

The 4R has the battery in the cargo area not under the seats.

Haole Toy said the SR5 Tacoma that has no hybrid battery the rear seats still don't fold flat. I was talking about the 2nd row seats on the 4Runner and if they fold flat.

Looks like the 4R seats don't fold completely flat.

The top of the seat backs look almost flat maybe a slight incline near the headrests. Not intrested in where the seat back meets the rear floor or folded 3rd row. I'm guessing there still more of an incline on the Tacoma if follks are complaining. Being an SUV it looks like the seat backs sit further back than on the Tacoma and what I was thinking would not work.
