    Will a 1st gen toytec rear shackle lift brackets fit on a 05+ 2nd gen?

    I'm pretty sure it won't because the rear mounts on the 05+ are different.

    ok cool thanks...you know anyone that makes rear shackle lifts for the 2nd gen tacomas? I cant find any..ive just seen pics of 2nd gens with them

    I don't think anyone makes a bolt on kit. IIRC it requires cutting of the original mount and then having a new one made and welded on, and I believe it requres a new set of leafs, because the length is different. IIRC

    armor tech makes a shackle flip kit that gives another 1/2" in addition to the flip. check their stuff in the vendor section

    ^^ word, their the only company that i've seen marketing anything for the rear leaf spring hangers.

    although if you look at total chaos, they have leaf spring hangers.

    but like jamie said, you have to cut the stock ones off and weld on the new ones

    for the ATOs, you cut off the old and bolt on the new. dont have to weld.

    drew02a did a write up on these in his build thread. IIRC there is a rivet on the stock hanger that has to be drilled or ground off.
