    interesting.
Do you know the specific model number? Can't find shock length on ADS site I want to double check that its actually longer.
I know the Icon and King remote reserior 2.5s are all the same length and not long enough for dakars.

That would mean they're about 19"-20" collapsed. If that's the case you'd bottom out hard AF in the stock location. B110 are 16.3" collapsed and are about as long as you can go stock location.

no idea. All I know is they are 2.5 extended travel with remote reservoirs with clicker adjustment

Well, sitting flat I have 4.25" of shock rod showing and my Durobumps start contacting at 3.125". At full extension there is approx 9.8" of rod showing

Ya pretty much what I was thinking. Something doesn't sound right with those.

From all the research I've done the only option to keep remote reservoir etc being a 2.5 shock and have the length you need is to go shock relocate.

And nothing on ads site says they're that long.

And I'm curious how it was drooped that he needed a jack. Because on floor jacks yes the fox are long enough . But on a hoist the axle wag jacked up with a transmission Jack to line up with shock .

    That's the same as Fox . That can't be a 28" shock.

The bilstein are 27.7" long and although that is enough the extended brake lines are held tight

Yeah I was wondering the same thing which is why I want numbers. I'm digging around right now to try and find them.

Weird, with my Dakars fully drooped the OEM brake lines were very tight, but not snapping. I did add extended lines, but I am no where near those being tight at full droop

probably not now that you point it out, probably more like 26", if you look at the length of the stock OR Billy's (in the pic) they are like 24.5" so the ADS is likely 26"?

The floor jacks held the truck by the frame and the rear had full-droop. Then I couldn't compress the shock by hand so I had to use a jack to compress it, then I put a floor jack under the rear diff to compress the leafs because I was worried about the brake lines

I emailed ADS asking for numbers. It's 4:30 there so maybe they're still open and will respond today but I doubt it. I'm with @Joe23 that there's no way they're that long so this should clear the air a bit.

Interested as well. Just going off what I saw on install. Side note, ADS has some beefy stuff. Next to Kings the resi hoses are noticeably thicker

They are . It's not the 5100 it's a different shock .It's a 2.0 nitrogen charged . Nothing special about it . Just longer .And boss suspension from toytec are the same. I think it's meant for 4"lift. It's no where close to a performance of a remote reservoir etc.

    Just longer.
And yes Fox are 26" so I'm pretty sure the ads are 26".

I'm sorry I know I've heard the ads are good etc but I can't see them suddenly being better and longer than both icon Fox and King.

Still waiting on ADS, but just found the stock shock is 22.94". Just eyeballing that pic puts the ADS around 25.5"-26"

Ya that's how it is for mine. But on a hoist at the shop I deal with it dropped more

Regardless this is what over extending did to my Fox lol
It's since been repaired and the mounting eyelet on the bottom was changed to get me more length .Limits up travel but since I'm all slow speed crawling I just needed the droop.

With the longer eyelet I'm now about 5/8" too short to match Dakar.

Haven't had an issue since the shock was fixed .
Even the shop I deal with we werent sure if this was defect as it's only one side that broke and the other has been checked numerously. Never had an issue so maybe it was just defected from factory not enough thread lock and it came loose and broke . Or the over extending broke it .or mix of the two.

@tacoma16 has them. They're longer than my fox.

    Got my hopes up haha
I was ready to buy them right now cause I want something longer. But can't find it without doing shock relocate or going to those billies

The bp51 are same length I believe as Fox. But I've heard they're great so I'm considering trying them

Not sure I’m seeing it. It pulled the rod out of the top more?
