Hi everyone. My fabtech rear shocks have blown out after 10+ years on my Tacoma. It is a 6" lift. How do I know which shocks (other than Fabtech) will work properly on a 6" lift? Is there a certain length measurement I should look for?

I assume shocks for any 6" lift would work for you application.

If you want to be sure, though, you should measure the expanded and collapsed lengths of your current blown shocks and use those measurements for ordering

Sounds good. Does anybody have any experience with different brands i.e. one being better than the other?

I used to have a Fabtech 6" on my truck. When the Fabtech rears gave out I replaced them with the Fox rear shocks that some with the BDS 6" lift. They worked fine, and I didn't really notice a difference in ride quality from the Fabtech shocks

Good to know. Has anyone out there switched to reservoirs from non-resi lift shocks? Is it noticeable or even worth the large $$ increase?
