Rear Shock relocation

    If your going with ADS, I'd definitely recommend talking with Matt @M C M about your plans. He can get everything you need from ADS with competitive pricing.

    As Dan mentioned, I did go with clickers on the front. Unfortunately, I have run into a fitment issue with those. I have yet to fully sort that out but I am sure there is a solution.

    On the rears, I am running ADS 2.5 triple bypasses (no clickers) that are 25" extended, 15" compressed with welded rod ends. Thanks again to Dan @turbodb for the help and experience of setting up the rear shock mounting. It has turned out to be perfect for the shock/spring combination. :hattip:

    Matt's resi mount puts the resi upright parallel to the shock and next to the UCA bolt. This is fine when there is no clicker because the resi hose goes into the bottom of the resi. Unfortunately, when there is a clicker, the resi hose has to go in on the side at the top end of the resi, instead of the bottom.

    The fitting for the resi hose is high enough out of the way but the lower part of the hose isn't, and the tire is rubbing it when turning and the wheel is stuffed up into the wheel well. Normal street driving is no problem, it only happens with sharp turns with a little wheel articulation.

    On the image above you can see a shiny spot where the tire is rubbing the hose.

    I am running 285/75-16s on 8" wheels with -12mm offset (4" of backspacing). Less backspacing or a narrower tire might prevent this from happening. :notsure:

    Shoot, I mean in normal times, I'd be happy to help out if you showed up here in WA, and bought me lunch, LOL. We could have the shocks done in a day. Hopefully we're back to normal times in what 6-12 months from now?

    For the Tundras, you don't need help (speaking from experience, it was one of my first upgrades, when I knew very little about the truck). Even without a shop or garage, you can do that in a few hours. The only bit that requires anything other than wrenches is cutting two little corners off the dust shield, which you can do any number of ways. :thumbsup:

    If it were me, it'd be the brake bleeding that'd be the most likely cause of trouble. Everything else is simple bolt on stuff.

    It's really a shame I haven't done this yet, lol...
